The Gunnedah Rural Museum is one of Australia's largest collections of early agriculture and transport memorabilia, with a display of over 1600 exhibits.
A small entry fee is payable at the door and volunteers are available to direct you through the museum, interpreting the exhibits and answering any questions you may have.
The museum houses tractors, steam engines, antique farm machinery, horse drawn and motorised vehicles, household items, a gun collection, RSL exhibit, working foundry, and timber workshop.
Museum volunteers are happy to cater a light lunch, or morning and afternoon teas for small organisations or visiting coach groups. Previous arrangement is required for this - please contact the museum direct on the number provided.
A well stocked souvenir gift shop is located on site.
Located on the Oxley Highway on the western side of Gunnedah. The museum is open every day except Christmas Day and Good Friday.
