Wollombi Wines 20 year old Semillon and Shiraz vines receive little or no irrigation, so yields are low - 1.5 to 2.0 tonne per acre. As a result, focus is on quality and not quantity. All vineyard work is carried out by the family so there is a close personal interest in producing the best possible grapes. Wollombi wines are easy drinking with emphasis on lower alcohol wines.
Wines are sold at the cellar door and some farmers markets. Wollombi Wines do not sell to liquor stores, so the wines will be truly special on your next Hunter Valley visit. The cellar door is operated by family members who have developed the property and carry out all vineyard work, so visitors can gain an insight into establishing a vineyard through to the end wine product they are tasting.
