Is this the perfect Aussie bush beach? Almost two kilometres of golden sand, stretching between dense bushland and pristine ocean, Gillards is great for surfing, swimming and spotting native wildlife. It is also fantastic for fishing, with salmon, bream, tailor and whiting all common and after dark, night jewfish and gummy sharks.
A popular camp site, Gillards is bordered by the bush and the beach. There are around 70 unmarked campsites and the grounds can be accessed by caravans, motorhomes and trailers. If you want to camp, be flexible as it's a popular spot and you can't book in advance.
