Come and see intriguing artefacts that tell the story of the traditions and techniques of fly fishing. The museum promotes the values of fly fishing, especially respect for the habitats of fly responsive fish.
There are excellent displays of artefacts of well-known fly fishing identities.
It is a national gathering place for anglers, conducts educational programs in fly casting, fly tying, fishing etiquette, angling history, river ecology and aquatic insects.
The museum is situated within the heritage walled gardens of Clarendon, a stunning historic estate on the banks of the South Esk, a renowned fly fishing river.
You can pay entry just for the Museum or to the whole Clarendon site including Museum and a house tour. National Trust and Australian Fly Fishing Museum members have free entry.
Open Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, from 10 am to 4 pm.
